Tom Carson is chief winemaker and general manager of Yabby Lake on the Mornington Peninsula. Tom first met James Halliday in 1988 in the Yarra Valley, post his Roseworthy winemaking degree Tom worked with James at Coldstream Hills for 3 years as assistant winemaker. Their friendship has endured over the years and their shared love of Pinot Noir and the great wines of burgundy, in particular Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
