From the top to bottom (about 500km), Western Australia has nine wine regions, including Swan District, Great Southern, Geographe, and Margaret River. While Great Southern has, by far, the most subregions, Margaret River dominates the Langton's Classification with all but two of the 17 classified WA wines.
There’s so much more to WA than Cabernet and Chardonnay.
Of the 13 new wines in the Langton’s Classification VII, four hail from Margaret River – more than any other region. That’s a total of 17 Classified wines led by three Exceptionals – Cullen’s Diana Madeline, the Moss Wood Cab and, of course, Leeuwin’s Art Series Chardonnay.
