Barossa Wine Growers Auction
Thursday, April 2, 2015 in News
The Barossa Wine Chapters Auction opens today and will reach its climax Friday April 17 – on the final day of the 2015 Barossa Vintage Festival.
You can be part of the excitement by bidding online – or by attending the Barossa Wine Chapters Auction & Lunch on April 17 and bidding in person at the culmination of the event at the live auction – with final bids to be taken on a range of marquee wines and other important lots.
The biennial Barossa Vintage Festival will be the biggest event in the Barossa Valley this year. And the Barossa Wine Chapters Auction & Lunch – proudly brought to you by Barossa Grape and Wine Association (BGWA) in conjunction with Langton’s – is the climax of the Festival.
The two auctions include more than 250 lots, with wines donated by leading Barossa winemakers and wineries direct from their private cellars. You can also bid for a number of exclusive events hosted personally by Barossa winemaking legends.
Live auction lots will be viewable from 10am 17th April 2015 at the Wolf Blass Visitor Centre. Bidding for the Live Auction, will move from online at langtons.com.au, into the room at the Wolf Blass Visitor Centre at 11am, where the final bidding will take place under the direction from the auctioneer.
No further bids for the Live Auction will be accepted through your online account, after 11am on Friday the 17th April 2015. The Live Auction will close at the fall of the auctioneers hammer in the room on Friday 17th April 2015.
Bidding online: Langton’s recommends that you place your maximum bid through your online account, prior to the Live Auction moving into the room, where the Auctioneer will be bidding on your behalf. Please note, you may have the leading bid at 11am online, but the successful bidder will be declared at the fall of the hammer, by the Auctioneer, live in the room. Bidding in the room: A bidding paddle has been provided on Page 95. Your bidding number will be Langton’s Member Number, for example NEW123. Bidding is on a per bottle basis unless otherwise advised by the auctioneer.
Absentee Bidding: If you are not attending the Live Auction, and have not place bids online, you can register on the enclosed absentee bidding form.
All bids for this auction must be made through your online member account. The Online Auction closes at langtons.com. au at 7pm Friday 17th April 2015.
Best of luck!
