Charity Auction Results
In May, Langton’s was proud to host two very special charity auctions in support of the Red Cross and Taronga’s efforts to make life a little easier for our fellow Australians and displaced wildlife following the devastating bushfires. Two incredible organisations, with some great lots on offer, and 100% of proceeds going to these good causes. View the Auctions.
Red Cross and Taronga Conservation Bushfire Appeal Auctions
The opportunity to explore the food and wine at Margaret River’s pioneering wine estate Vasse Felix, including a meet and greet with winemaker Virginia Willcock, reached $241 (with a low estimate of $100). Classified ‘Outstanding’, a bottle of 2016 Penfolds Yattarna Chardonnay reached $121. Indeed, Australian classics were the real winners, with a magnum of 2010 Balnaves of Coonawarra The Tally Reserve Cabernet going for $189.
In total, thanks to the donations of Australian wineries and the generosity of bidders, $5,700 has been raised for sharing between the Red Cross and the Taronga Conservation Society.
