Langton’s Adventures in Wine
April - Chateau Brane Cantenac
Langton’s Head of Buying, Tom Portet, is currently in France with Andrew Caillard MW, visiting some of the great Domaines and Chateaux of Burgundy and Bordeaux that Langton’s is proud to be working with.
Tasting with Henri Lurton of Brane Cantenac, the man responsible for changing the perception of the chateau with critics by improving the overall quality since taking over from his father. The Chateau was Classified a 2ème Cru Classé (second Growth) in 1855 and has been in owned by the Lurton family since 1922.
Henri’s extensive investment in the cellars and the vineyards have help him create beguiling wines with weight and concentration, yet are perfumed and elegant - two of Margaux’s classic traits.
