For more than 30 years, Langton’s has been the home of fine wine in Australia. Today, over one million bottles go under the hammer at our fine wine auctions every year. This is why we have the largest fine wine audience in the country, returning regularly to browse and bid on wines in roughly fifty auctions each month. From icons, trophy and rare treasures, to unique finds and curios, to bargains and outright steals, explore auctions starting from as low as $1 or watch the hammer fall on world record auction prices.
If you have excess or aged wines drinking at their peak, your palate has changed, or you’d like to be liquid rather than just have liquid, there’s never been a better time to sell your wines at auction with Langton’s.

Fine Wine Tuesdays—up your midweek wine game
Let’s face it, Tuesdays are boring. If you want to add a little luxury to the day that isn’t even Wednesday, head over to our online auctions.
Every week our expert team of fine wine auctioneers curate the catalogues we call Fine and Rare. The hammer falls every Tuesday with auctions closing at 9pm.
Seller Note: Once your wines reach our Hoppers Crossing warehouse in Victoria, our auctions team will have your wines listed and in front of potential buyers within 14 days.
There comes a chapter in the story of every great wine collection where it must change hands. Be it a generational change, downsizing to a smaller cellar, a change in tastes or realising investment potential, we showcase many large, single collections.
If you have a number of fine bottles with a value in excess of $10K, we can offer specific auctions, limited to your wines only. Our team of fine wine auction marketers will highlight the provenance behind your wines and the story behind your collection. Fine wine collectors and buyers really respond to single collections—finding those missing pieces in their own collections and looking for inspiration as they continue on their wine collecting (and drinking) journey.
Seller Note: Discretion is the better part of valour and it’s the way we do business.
Putting your privacy first, we can tell the story of the individual wines in your cellar or the collection as a whole. Reaching thousands of potential bidders or those rare private individuals looking to expand their collections.
Special Event Auctions
Each month we highlight a number of interesting themed auction catalogues for our audience of buyers.
Seller Note: Get in contact with our team of auction experts and they can curate your wines accordingly into these themed events.
Every Second Tuesday—Fine Spirit Auction
We also sell spirits. Dig into your cellar–the growth in spirit prices in this market has been astounding, and you may be surprised at the value sitting in your collection.
Penfolds Rewards of Patience—Closing 8th December
With eight wines listed, Penfolds dominates the Classification of Australian Wine. The reason for this is the winery’s peerless performance at auction. Demand is always high, with large format, old and rare bottlings sought after by so many collectors. Our biannual Penfolds Rewards of Patience event is the most successful auction of our calendar, often drawing the attention of the media with world record sales of Grange, Bin 707 and Bin 60A.
Seller Note: If you would like to have your wines listed in this auction they will need to be delivered to our cellars by the 18th of November.
Don’t hesitate to get in contact with our Auctions Team to get your wine appraised or to find out more details on how you can realise the value of a single bottle or a whole collection.
