Yering Station 20th Anniversary - Reserve Releases

The release of Yering Station’s 2017 Reserve Wines also marks the 20th anniversary of their first make - a significant milestone in a story that traces its beginnings back to 1838. See Andrew Caillard  MW and the winery team talk old and new below, Explore our Yering Station portfolio here.

Caillard was on hand in the Yarra Valley to celebrate the Anniversary Release, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a wine writer or historian with a firmer grasp on the importance of the Ryrie Brothers’ planting of Victoria’s first vines at Yering Station in 1938.

Langton’s co-founder Andrew Caillard MW on the history and story of Yering Station.

Yering Station winemaker Willy Lunn describes 2017 as ‘a one-in-twenty vintage...’ - with the last time he recalls quality this high being 1998. Caillard agrees.

The 2017 Reserves (available at time of writing: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz Viognier) are immediate cellar must-haves, that will stand up to serious time to come.

The Yering Station team, Andrew Caillard MW, and James Halliday speak about the once-in-a-generation vintage that is 2017.
