Caillard was on hand in the Yarra Valley to celebrate the Anniversary Release, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a wine writer or historian with a firmer grasp on the importance of the Ryrie Brothers’ planting of Victoria’s first vines at Yering Station in 1938.

Yering Station winemaker Willy Lunn describes 2017 as ‘a one-in-twenty vintage...’ - with the last time he recalls quality this high being 1998. Caillard agrees.
The 2017 Reserves (available at time of writing: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz Viognier) are immediate cellar must-haves, that will stand up to serious time to come.
