Deep colour. Lifted mulberry dark chocolate aromas with some herb garden, liquorice notes. Richly flavoured wine with deep set mulberry blackberry liquorice flavours, fine graphite, slight grippy tannins, plentiful cedar mocha oak notes and underlying linear fresh acidity. Some tarry/ bitter chinotto notes at the finish. The oak and tannins are quite dominant and need time to integrate. So drink with a touch of bottle age.

Bright, deep purple/red colour. Reserved chocolate and spicy black fruit aromas, laced with earthy and stony notes. The wine is medium to full-bodied and elegantly formed, with bold but supple tannins and good palate line. Very good balance and potential. (Vineyard planted 1975)

Chocolatey, rich, oh-so-smooth. Prune and date characters amongst booze-soaked forest berries, clove and cinnamon, mocha powder tannins and a general sense of rippling, brooding, deep red wine with authority. Big, generous red in good balance, in essence.
