'Light, bright straw-yellow colour; the bouquet a subtly presented array of dried flowers and dried herbs, in a ripe Australian dry style. The palate is intense and focused, clean and alive, with lime leaf and lemon verbena nuances. It's intense and taut, fine and dry, with a shade more weight than the Polish, but there's not much in it. Long, long aftertaste.'

'As good as any Grosset Springvale Riesling of the past decade, with beautifully balanced and very expressive lime juice fruit and crystalline acidity flowing through the gloriously long palate. Drink now or soonish if you value freshness, in 5-10 years if you value complexity.'
