From the original estate vineyard planted in ?85, hand-picked, destemmed into open fermenters, pumped over twice daily, matured for 18 months in French oak. Savoury bitter chocolate and licorice notes intersect with the black fruits of the bouquet and palate alike. The wine is all about nuanced complexity, tannins and oak the canvas on which the primary flavours are painted.
