With 1.4% pinot gris and 0.6% chardonnay; hand picked from the Derwent and Coal River Valleys. All the tropical, fragrant exuberance and spicy intrigue of Tasmanian riesling is on display here. Apricot, loquat and persimmon suggest a touch of botrytis influence, building a palate of succulent flesh gently supported by a lick of RS. Signature Southern Tasmanian acidity pulls the finish neatly into line, supported by very fine, understated phenolic grip. Ready for fusion action, with the body to handle mild spice.
