Carlo Revello e Figli Dolcetto d'Alba
Vines planted in 1980 in the vineyards of the village of Annunziata village at between 230-260 metres above sea level.
The Annunziata fruit goes into horizontal rotating macerators for approximately 4 days in contact with skins, completion of alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks in approximately 10 days, malolactic fermentation in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 10 months in tanks.
Carlo Revello is a second-generation Langhe winemaker working alongside his eldest son Erik. Since 2016, they have made wine under the Carlo Revello e Figli label. These are an impressive introduction to the legendary wines of Barolo, crafted with little artifice and showcasing La Morra terroir with all the grace and elegance so prized in wines from this pocket of the DOCG. Two established familial crus (including the ‘crown jewel’ Rocche dell’Annunziata cru) are now part of their estate. This is a range that sees heritage and tradition meet fresh ideas and approachability.
