This Schoenenbourg Grand Cru Riesling is made from 60 year old vines grown on gypsum, muschelkalk, keuper and sandstone soils at an altitude of 380 metres. This is a powerful wine with a dry, mineral-laden palate that once tried is not easily forgotten. Lemon and violet aromas waft gently from the glass, and keep drawing you back in for more. This is a hedonistic, intellectual wine that’s an absolute pleasure to drink.

Bright medium-dark yellow. Enticing aromas of lemon butter, lime, botanical herbs, chlorophyll and peach. Then big, broad and round, but with lively acidity (6.6 g/L) nicely framing the deep, classically dry (0.2 g/L r.s.) pomaceous orchard fruit and crystallized mango flavors. This is still folded onto itself and will need time in the bottle to showcase all it has to offer, but it is another very promising wine from Sparr. The finish is extremely long and fresh. This will go on sale next fall.

A steely, dry riesling with dried apples, dried lemon slices and acacia honey. It's sharp, yet textured, with a long, lemony and minerally finish. Ready now, but can definitely age. From organically grown grapes.

Waxy, lemon peel and quince curd. Broad but with precise grapefruit-sharp acidity. This is a wine with a graceful shape, folded elegantly in on itself, long, tangy, firm.
