Blackcurrant, cassis and liquorice aromas lay the foundations for a palate of dark berries and mocha. The long and luxurious finish owes thanks to the seamlessly integrated French oak and presses all the right buttons. Though it straddles the line between medium and full body, its pure Cabernet power is undeniable. Earning praise from all the right places, you’ll be disappointed to miss it. Secure yours before it’s all gone, but be warned: six may not be enough
The guys get this excellent Cabernet from Mount Barker. Dark fruit notes on the nose with a savoury chocolatey, mocha, blackcurrant character. It’s more in the medium bodied zone but still packs so much power and driving intensity as it effortlessly extends through to a very long finish. This is a classic, almost old-world, style Cabernet and a great example of what some managed to achieve in this vintage.
