About this wine
The most elegant and ethereal of DJP’s wines, La Faraona is sourced from the highest vineyard in Corullón at 855 m altitude. A south-east-facing slope with minerally schist and sandstone soils, the biodynamic single vineyard is farmed by hand. The average age of the vines is between 50 and 90 years. Fermentation takes place in small wooden vats and the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered after 14 months maturation in French oak of various ages. A wine of tiny production, only 65 cases of La Faraona are made each vintage.
