DOMAINE MERIEAU Cent Visage Malbec, Touraine

The Côt or Malbec grape brings a very deep and concentrated garnet colour. This variety is also grown in the Bordeaux region where it is blended in the wine from some of the greatest Châteaux. Very ripe aromas on the nose (blackcurrant, crushed red berries) with notes of prunes and violets. Very persistent finish.

Destemmed then hand sorted on a sorting table before crushing and put into a vat. Hand plunging and pumping over, followed by a long maceration (between 5 and 6 weeks) with natural yeasts. Maturation in concrete buried tanks with micro-oxidation
