PAUL JABOULET AINE La Chapelle, Hermitage 2017 Magnum
About this wine
PAUL JABOULET AINE La Chapelle, Hermitage
Paul Jaboulet Aîné La Chapelle, Hermitage is one of the world's most iconic and prestigious wines, produced from Syrah grapes grown on the steep slopes of the Hermitage hill in France's Northern Rhône Valley. Named after the Saint Christophe chapel that overlooks the vineyards, La Chapelle has a rich history dating back to 12244. This full-bodied wine is renowned for its complex flavor profile, featuring notes of black fruits, spices, earth, and licorice. La Chapelle requires significant aging, often needing 20-30 years to fully develop its unique character. The wine is made from 40- to 100-year-old vines, hand-harvested and fermented using indigenous yeasts, then aged in a combination of French oak barrels and concrete eggs.
