The palate doesn't disappoint: a very full-bodied, concentrated and stylish cabernet, powerful yet elegant, with impressive depth and real gravitas. Comes from an exceptional season in Coonawarra, a meticulous approach has been taken here with handpicking and selective harvesting on low-yielding vineyards before individual barrels were selected for the final blend. The colour is deep and brilliant and the nose displays a typical blackcurrant nuance with that trace of Coonawarra leafiness. Beautifully integrated chalky fine tannins and perfectly tuned oak play their role in harmonising with the dense yet elegant fruit. A stylish wine with plenty of cellaring time ahead. Although it is mighty good now.
