About this wine

SONS OF EDEN Remus Old Vine Shiraz, Eden Valley

To qualify for the Remus Old Vine Shiraz blend, the vines need at least 50 years of age and to be managed sustainably. The blend is made of Shiraz fruit from a number of Eden Valley sub-regions including Moculta, Keyneton and Central Eden Valley.,/p>

Named Remus after one of the two brothers who form the foundation myth of Rome, the wine is not as forceful as its brother, Romulus. It’s more elegant and shows more finesse—as one might expect from Eden Valley.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Sons of Eden
Sons of Eden is a partnership between Corey Ryan, winemaker and Simon Cowham, viticulturist. Their focus is to represent the flavours, layers and terroir of the Barossa Valley. Fruit is sourced from premium sites throughout the region, with Riesling taken from high altitude sites in the cool Eden Valley and the Shiraz, Mourvèdre and Grenache obtained from the warmer Barossa Valley floor. Care is taken in the winery to ensure both the quality of the fruit and the individuality of the site are fully expressed in the wines.
