Terra Sancta Mysterious Diggings Pinot Noir, Central Otago
At 300 metres above sea level, the Mysterious Diggings vineyard is one of the highest in Bannockburn. The steep, north-facing site, planted in 1999 to six clones, produces brightly fruited grapes that render deliciously accessible pinot noir that drinks well on release, and with up to five years cellaring.
Typically, Mysterious Diggings is an intensely aromatic, medium-bodied pinot noir, resplendent with red fruits, bramble, and spice. As one of the best value pinots in the region, Mysterious Diggings has a devoted following.
