About this wine

BOLLINGER Special Cuvee Brut, Champagne NV

Bollinger Special Cuvée is unquestionably one of the finest of all French Champagnes. The result of the delicate blending between harvest grapes and a majority of reserve wines (including some aged in magnums for more than 15 years) the Bollinger style is distinctive. Its full-bodied toasty character is derived from a high proportion of Pinot Noir and the inclusion of base wine matured in oak. The nose is a beautiful aromatic complexity of ripe fruits, spices and hints of apples and peaches and the palate unfurls into toasty brioche and a subtle amalgamation of structure, length, vivacity and fine velvety bubbles.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Bollinger
Established in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger and Paul Renaudin, Bollinger is one of the most renowned Champagne houses in the world. From 1941 until 1977, the business was run by Madame Lily Bollinger who significantly expanded the Champagne house’s vineyard holdings. Today it is managed by her great-nephew, Ghislain de Montgolfier. Bollinger’s house style is rich, complex and muscular, producing Pinot-Noir dominated Champagnes with compelling depth and power and longevity.
