About this wine
HENRIOT Brut Souverain, Champagne
Henriot's Brut Souverain is precise, pristine and elegant. Made up of a balanced proportion of Chardonnay with the majority hailing from the Côte des Blancs, and Pinot Noir predominantly from the Montagne de Reims, with around 8% Pinot Meunier to add a delightfully delicate fruity note. Each cru expresses itself in a unique and dynamic manner, not overshadowing the others in a delicate dance of flavour and aromas. Displaying white flowers and citrus fruits on the nose followed by a harmonious and refined palate. Four years on lees before disgorgement leads to a beautiful level of finesse and exciting complexity.

Based on the 2015 vintage, the latest release of Henriot's NV Brut Souverain offers up inviting aromas of white peach, apple blossom, nectarine and pastry cream. Medium-bodied, bright and fleshy, with a pretty core of fruit, tangy acids and a pillowy mousse, it's drinking well on release.

Baked raspberries, pears, figs, pastries, orange curd and praline make for a rich and ripe nose. Medium-bodied with soft bubbles on the palate and fresh acidity. Supple and broad with creamy pastry and mixed-berry notes. Blend of 45% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay and 15% pinot meunier. 2015 base vintage with 40% reserve wines. Disgorged September 2019. 6g/l dosage. Drink now.

Harvest date 2018. 45% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 15% Meunier. 40-50% reserve wines. Dosage < 6g/L I’ve always liked this producer, and good to see them back in the market.
Gently smoky, white flowers, brioche, a salty character, with white strawberry and cherry. It’s saline and savoury, but carries a juicy red fruit flavour, pleasing pixelated bubbles, pastry dough, balanced acidity and excellent length. Very nice.
