A little on the AR Lenoble Mag18... Winemaker Antoine uses sustainable methods to grow Chardonnay in the Grand Cru village of Chouilly in the Côtes des Blancs (the jewel in the AR Lenoble crown), which accounts for 20% of the blend. Pinot Meunier from Damery makes up 45% of the blend, while Pinot Noir from Bisseuil Premier Cru provides the final 35%. The newly arrived Intense Mag18 comprises a 60% vintage base (2018), with a 40% reserve component. The perpetual solera is matured on lees in magnums at a greater atmospheric pressure than standard bottles, which produces a more intense freshness than standard reserve wines.
