About this wine
LANGTONS Leconfield and Parker Estate Terra Rossa First Growth upgrade 12 pack - Save over 50%
In this 12-bottle pack, you’ll find:
9 x Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon Coonawarra 2021 (RRP $36)
3 x Parker Coonawarra Estate Terra Rossa First Growth Coonawarra 2019 (RRP $110)
The terra rossa soils of the Coonawarra, that narrow strip of propitious terroir, are famous for the quality of wines they produce and their unmistakable rust colour. The two producers in this Online Exclusive offer are rusted-on stalwarts of the Coonawarra scene. They have been making classic Coonawarra Cabernet for decades, and they never miss.
In this pack, you will find nine bottles of the Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra 2021 (RRP $36), which earned a 95-point review from Huon Hooke. You will also find three upgrade bottles of the Parker Coonawarra Estate Terra Rossa First Growth, Coonawarra 2019 (RRP $110), which drew a 97-point review from Campbell Mattinson writing for the Halliday Wine Companion. All this and you will save 50% too. Fair warning: there are only 100 packs available, and, at this price, they will fly.

The spread of flavour here is elite. It's not the density, which is significant but not overbearing, but rather it's the way the flavours expand as they roll through the mouth, like rice in water, the finish vastly more voluminous than the start. It shows textbook characters of blackcurrant, bay leaf and tobacco, and while there are oak influences in the form of cedar, chocolate and dark, sweet coffee, they are folded into the fruit with the deftest of touch. And then there are the tannins. These have a sweetness of their own, and an authority, and yet they are a masterclass in integration. Stand back. This wine has its sights set firmly on the future.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerfully ripe example of the local style as it radiates with fruits pastille, blackberry and minty aromas well backed by quality oak. It's then mouthfilling and energetic, with lavish flavor well supported by a strong seam of drying tannins. Excellent length and overall balance bodes very well for the future.
