About this wine

A delightfully unusual fusion of Adelaide Hills & Clare Valley fruit results in an intensely flavoured, complex yet elegant wine. The wine has intense lifted aromas of melon and lime with hints of stone fruits. There are underlying tropical notes of green pineapple and guava and subtle secondary characters of flint, cedar and spice. The palate delivers what the bouquet promises; citrus fruits, fig and melon flavours, a clean, mineral acidity, and a touch of lemon zest. Texturally, it is very delicate, with a soft mid-palate and well-integrated oak. The Clare Valley parcel delivers mid-palate fleshiness whilst the Adelaide Hills component contributes restrained fruit characters and a hint of minerality that is typical of the region.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Taylors

Taylors was established in 1969, three generations ago when Bill Taylor senior and his sons found a site on the Wakefield River in the Clare Valley. The site was 178 hectares on famed terra rossa, red brown loam over limestone soil, perfect for Cabernet Sauvignon, combined with the Clare Valley climate of warm days and cool nights, creating precision and structure in their wines. Taylors are part of Australia’s First Families of Wine, twelve Australian winemaking families that represent the legacy that shaped the foundations of the Australian wine industry. Five different selections in their range, Promised Land, Eighty Acres (carbon emissions are offset), Taylors Estate, TWP (Taylors Winemakers Project), Jaraman, St Andrews, their benchmark wine. Most classic varieties are represented in the Taylors range, including the lesser-known varietals of Vermentino and Tempranillo, their reputation being quality driven wines representing all price points.
