Château Malaric-Lagraviere Blanc Cru classe, Graves
As with many of the great Blancs of Bordeaux, Château Malartic-Lagravière’s expression is produced in extremely limited quantities. A majority Sauvignon Blanc blend with Semillon, the fruit is grown in limestone and clay soils in a cool micro-climate that suits the fresh style of Bordeaux whites.
There is little skin contact in the pressing of this Blanc, and fermentation takes place in 50–70% new French oak. It is aged on lees to encourage a richness of texture and on the palate.
