Clotilde Davenne wines come from the village of Courgis, right next door to her winery in Prehy. Montmains is considered one of the best 1er Cru vineyard sites. The soil is peppered with shards of fossilised oyster shells, which lend the wine its vibrant mineral notes and chalky aromas. This is a lean, crisp, steely wine, with citrus fruits on the palate and bright fresh acidity.
