About this wine
Flowstone Queen of the Earth Cabernet Sauvignon Margaret River
Flowstone’s Queen of the Earth Cabernet Sauvignon is a relative latecomer to the long list of premium Cabernets coming out of Magaret River but has jumped the queue somewhat. The 2015 vintage made the Cabernet Sauvignon Varietal Winners list the 2020 Halliday Wine Companion.
‘it ranks among the best I can remember.’
- James Halliday
Vinified in open-top fermenters, the wine sees more than a fortnight on skins. After this, it spends three years on oak (barrels) before another year or so in bottle, just to let things settle down. The wine is a heady mix of black and blue berries with dark spices, savoury dried herbs and fine tannins.

Expert Review
Erin Larkin
The first year of the Queen of the Earth cabernet. Hand picked in one batch, on skins post-ferment for 2.5 weeks, matured in French oak for 3 years, in bottle for a further 15 months prior to release. Tiny production: 112 dozen. Stuart Pym is not afraid of pushing boundaries: 3 years in oak! Well ... it's nowhere near as evident in the glass as it should be, thanks to the pedigree of the fruit. Savoury, dense, flavourful and very long, this is built to last. Buy it now, but don't look at it until 2027.
