About this wine
While Tintara, the historic South Australia winery, are embracing modern winemaking techniques to produce flavoursome and full-bodied wines, they still make definitive McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Near impenetrable, abyssal darkness draws you into a wine that doesn’t disappoint. The depth and scope of the nose and palate of concentrated dark forest fruits, plum and cocoa loaded with decadent sweet vanilla oak. The fine-grainned tannins frame this luscious, persistent McLaren Vale Shiraz. Hedonism.

Expert Review
Wine Companion
What a little charmer. Here is McLaren Vale shiraz in a nutshell, generous right across the board from the impenetrable colour, expansive perfume and full-bodied taste whilst, it must be pointed out, still retaining a fine tannin structure. Forest berries, plums, spices, earth, it's smooth and supple in the mouth. A nice sheen of oak is highly complementary.

"There’s a strong thread of chocolate here with a wealth of ripe blackberries and some espresso notes, too. The palate has a strong licorice core with blueberries and plums in abundance. Long and assertive."
