Expert Review
James Halliday
From a vineyard high above the Onkaparinga Gorge, it is a rich, full-bodied shiraz full of black fruits, dark chocolate and firm tannins. Its quality, balance and length are plain to see, but it's not open for business yet. An outstanding candidate for the cellar.

Huon Hooke
Deep, youthful red colour with a good tint of purple. The bouquet is spicy and herbal, deep and lush with hints of aniseed, the palate full-bodied and intense with a twist of licorice-like bitterness and a long, firm finish. A distinctive, superb shiraz. It will reward long-term cellaring.

Campbell Mattinson
Fresh aromatics, boysenberried, slightly tarry-but-in-a-good way. Toast, Dutch chocolate, a spreading wealth of tannin. An imposing wine, with more than a little presence. For all its might and power the palate feels closed, even sulky. Leave it alone awhile. A good while. It’s not a lot of fun at present.
