Expert Review
LANGTONS
Low-key nose. Then wonderfully rich, sweetness on the palate… Rich yet delicate and no exaggeration. Grainy finish. Real lift to this wine. And quite a bit of development and complexity… yet there is energy still too. Most impressive. So long! 19/20 points, Jancis Robinson (2013).
Deep crimson. Lovely intense blackberry/prune aromas with integrated oak. Palate is rich and succulent with fleshy blackberry/mulberry fruit, ripe fine tannins, underlying oak, finishing firm. Andrew Caillard, MW (2000).
Classically restrained, elegant and sophisticated, with marvellous length of pristine, sweet dark berry/cherry Shiraz and fine-grained tannins. Musky and spicy, harmonious and integrated. 96 points, Jeremy Oliver.
