Expert Review
Huon Hooke
Bright deep purple/red colour, with a spicy and dark-fruit aroma, evincing pepper and reserved dark and red fruits, tinged with earthy graphite nuances. A trace of cherry liqueur. The palate is medium-bodied and quite intense, with firm but light tannins, and good length. An each-way style: drink now or cellar short to medium-term. (80% shiraz, 20% pinot noir. A tribute to Maurice O'Shea)

Ned Goodwin MW
A dry table red, evocative of many great wines of Hunter yore, hewn of this seemingly incongruous blend. Easygoing and versatile at the table. Scents of sarsaparilla, anise, suede and red cherry. The oak, a bit onerous and drying at this stage, but will settle as the wine relaxes in bottle. The structural feel is akin to a luncheon claret.
