The fruit is sourced from cuttings Gerard generously gave Trinity Hill from the renowned La Chapelle vineyard in Hermitage and the Les Jumelles vineyard in Cote Rotie.

ABOUT THE WINERY

Trinity Hill

One of Hawke’s Bay’s early pioneers, Trinity Hill was established in 1993 when owners Robert and Robyn Wilson together with John Hancock planted the first vines on a barren plot on the former bed of the Ngaruroro River in Hawkes Bay New Zealand. Right from the first vintage in 1997 the wines met with great acclaim. Today Trinity Hill has extensive vineyard holdings throughout Hawkes Bay including plantings of Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah with additional experimental plantings of alternative varieties including Tempranillo, Arneis and Montepulciano. The winery produces a number of wines including the premium Gimblett Gravels range and the flagship wine, Homage Syrah produced only in exceptional years.
