Expert Review
LANGTONS
…has a touch of elegance running alongside its blackberry, blood plum and dark chocolate fruit; the tannins wait until the last moment to join forces with the oak to speak clearly of the long future ahead. 94 points, James Halliday (winecompanion.com.au).
Expansive scents of blueberry, cherry compote, pipe tobacco and licorice, with a peppery nuance adding urgency. Sappy and appealingly sweet, offering plush black and blue fruit flavours lifted and brightened by a spine of juicy acidity. Fleshy and concentrated but energetic as well, with velvety tannins shaping the long, dark fruit-driven finish. Antonio Galloni (vinous.com).
Lithe and savoury, with green tea and floral overtones to the lean core of blackberry and spice, playing against refined tannins as the finish lingers. Best from 2017 through 2022. 90 points, Wine Spectator.
