E.PIRA E FIGLI Chiara Boschis , Langhe DOC

E. Pira & Figli was purchased by the Boschis family in 1981, and daughter Chiara presides over the estate today. The goal of the estate is to marry the might of Barolo with approachability: think perfumed aromas, lush textures, and elegance. Chiara’s namesake wine is an excellent introduction to wines of the Langhe. Fruit hails from ‘buffer zones’ (rows that border on the non-organic vineyards of neighbouring producers). A ruby red hue, it is purely fruited with balanced tannins, and a refreshing line of acidity.
